1. Mumbai got a new airport

The much awaited Terminal 2 has already opened for common public by Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chauhan. The 2.2 km Sahar elevated road that connects Western Express Highway with New Airport has solved the traffic problems in the city.

2. India’s first double Decker flyover in Mumbai(Must see)

Finally 3.45 km long Santa Cruz Chembur Link Road (SCLR) was finally thrown open to motorists with a maximum speed of up to 30 km/hr. The other restrictions include no stopping and parking along the entire stretch of SCLR bridge.

3. Delhi Haat in Janakpuri opens on 29th May’14

4. Mumbai to have a floating Hotel

Good news for Mumbaikars- From Aug’14 soon there will be a new place, The Floatel (The floating hotel) 3-tier luxury dinning facility with a sky deck, two galleys, and will have two multi-cuisine restaurants, including a club lounge, equipped with a 24-hour coffee shop. The overall capacity is 660 guests distributed across the four tiers of the vessel. It will be docked at Bandra under the famous Bandra- Worli Sea Link.

 

5. Scuba Diving in Visakhapatnam

After Goa, Lakshadweep and Andaman now it’s time of Vizag to show its charm. This summer get set for scuba diving the first of its kind in Vizag.

10. Delhi Airport Named Worlds 2nd Best for Service Quality

Delhi is 2nd and Mumbai is on 5th position in this category by the Airport Council International. ACI is the global body of Airports which covers 1751 airports in 174 countries.

If we will see global ranking Delhi is 6th as compared to 4th last year. It scored 4.84 on a 5 point grading scale.

 

11. Rajasthan Government is planning to launch Air taxi Service

Mainly to reduce the traveling time between some of the states most prized attractions like Jaisalmer, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Ranthambore, Bikaner and Udaipur. This idea is mainly to boost tourism and also it will generate Revenue for the Government.

13. India’s Travel Market is 10th Largest in the World

The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) revealed that India’s tourism sector has grown immensely in the last 15 years, 24th Ranking in 2000 to 10th Rank in 2014. Also, they said-“We are looking forward to see how the new government will be beneficial for tourism.”
