Finally, Dubai is open for Tourists.

Tourists and visitors are welcomed back to Dubai from 7 July 2020 onwards, according to Dubai airport official flight schedules, and subject to airports being operational at their departure destinations. Please also check your country’s travel advisor for the latest guidance on outbound trips.

There must be lots of confusions and questions relating to travel to Dubai. Let’s remove your confusion one by one.

1) Travel to Dubai requirements

Fulfil entry visa requirements to travel to the UAE.

Ensure you have medical travel insurance before travelling, in the event you do not have international coverage.

Sign a declaration to bear all costs of quarantine and treatment and complete the Health Declaration Form before departure to secure the passenger has no COVID-19 symptoms.

2) Procedures from departure destination

Tourists must take a PCR test up to four days (prior to their date of travel maximum 96 hours)

Call for a PCR test before traveling, or if this hasn’t been executed, a PCR test is held away upon arrival at Dubai airports. Complete Health Declaration Form before taking leave. Airlines have the right to deny travelers if they exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19.

3) Procedures upon arrival at Dubai airports

In the event the tourist is not carrying a valid PCR test result, a test is carried out at Dubai airports

All arriving passengers have their temperature taken with thermal screening devices. Tourists who do not hold a valid PCR test result take the test upon reaching

The PCR test can be repeated for tourists who had tested negative before departing but display COVID-19 symptoms

4) Procedures for leaving Dubai airports

Tourists required to download the COVID-19 DXB app

14-day quarantine imposed for all positive COVID-19 cases

Compliance with all precautionary measures applied in Dubai (wearing masks, maintaining 2m social distance and washing hands regularly)

5) For tourists testing positive for COVID-19

Strict compliance with the procedures set out for positive cases by the COVID-19 Command and Control Centre, including institutional quarantine, home quarantine or hospitalization

6) Is Travel Insurance mandatory?

Yes, please ensure you have medical travel insurance covering COVID-19 before traveling, in the event you do not have international coverage.

7) What rules to be followed by Tourists?

Cling to all official measures and requirements made by the Dubai Government and the relevant government agencies.

Disclose any symptoms of COVID-19 before traveling by filling in the Health Declaration form provided by airlines.

Ensure you have international health insurance coverage that includes COVID-19 before traveling.

Tourists will bear the costs of examination and treatment in the UAE, in the event, they are infected with COVID-19.

Take precautionary steps and self-monitor for whatever symptoms of COVID-19.

9) What will happen if I tested Covid Positive and who will bear the cost of Treatment and Isolation?

14-day quarantine is imposed for all positive COVID-19 cases. Strict compliance with the procedures set out for positive cases by the Dubai COVID-19 Command and Control Centre regulation, which include institutional quarantine (dedicated hotels), home quarantine or hospitalization depending on the health condition, and isolation requirements.

As per Dubai Command and Control Centre regulation, all positive COVID-19 cases will be quarantined for 14 days, with tourists bearing the costs of handling and isolation. The quarantine options include institutional quarantine (dedicated hotels), home quarantine, or hospitalization depending on the health status, and isolation requirements.

10) However, there are restrictions in Dubai?

The city takes on the highest international health and safety standards, enabling the urban center to secure the welfare of all our visitors remains the highest precedence. Everyone must observe social distancing guidelines and stay by the instructions and preventive measures outlined by concerned agencies, for example putting on masks and washing hands regularly.

Family entertainment, attractions, observation decks, public transport, parks, beaches as well as shopping malls and restaurants & cafes are open and fully operating. All activities follow strict and frequent hygiene and sanitation measures as per international health and safety standards, as well as implemented temperature checks to ensure the safety of guests.
