The title may sound weird but believe me its 100% true. Choosing modeling as a career is itself a tough decision, Inspite of being a professional he chose to be a MODEL. That is what I call Passion and others call it “SHIT” (If you want to do modelling then why you have studied). It’s never late in finding your Element. Perhaps you didn’t have the confidence to follow the passion earlier, and now believe that the moment is gone. It’s not true. There is abundant evidence that opportunities to discover our Element exist more frequently in our lives than many might believe.

I am talking here about a guy (Pankaj) whom I met when I was pursuing Company Secretary. He was like a normal next door guy. We hang out together sometimes after classes. Whenever I asked him to come somewhere he always gave one or the other reasons. I never thought that what can be the reason behind his saying “NO”. He always used to tell us that he started going to GYM and he loves to do work out.

A quick Q&A session:

1) How you came to know that Modelling was your Element?

Ans: Choosing modelling is a daunting task as it requires rigorous maintenance of physique, face and personality. Right from my School days, I use to get compliments about my looks and asked by many to give a try to modelling. Going by the feelings it looked bright and I thought to do after my school.

         2) From where you started and was their any setbacks?

Ans: In 2010, I started my modelling classes from Bhawanipur College where I was given training for ramp walk, posing and interacting. After the training got over, many shows were organized which enabled me to showcase my talent. The show was a hit and I got many other shows. This has been just the beginning but sadly I had to stop the further proceeding because my CS final as well as CAT was knocking at the door. This was a setback as because I could not grab any opportunity at that point of time. After my CS was over and admission in B-school was done, I thought to restart again. But, it was a struggle for me in the year 2011 as because there were only few opportunities that came in my way. This was the great setback in my career.

         3) So what was your family reaction on Pursuing Modelling as a Career?

Ans: My family and friends were always been a great support. They always encouraged me to follow the heart.

         4) So can you tell me about your achievements till now?

Ans: In 2012, I won the Model Hunt of Aircel and did my first major national campaign. Finally, I decided to compete in the fashion capital – Delhi and in the end of 2012 I decided to make my way to six pack glory. I did it successfully and grabbed the print shoot of Nokia Lumia.

In 2013, I became the face for Pariwar Fashions- Ethnic wear in Kolkata and was the 2nd Runner up in the Times of India fresh face contest 2013. After that again bagged the Print shoot of Bausch & Lomb in Delhi, which was the biggest landmark. Furthermore, I also walked the ramp for some designers and did calendar shoots.

The year 2014 has been a good start. Endorsed Euro Jeans and did shoot for some online websites. Also selected for prestigious magazine: Mens Health in Delhi.

        5) So what it takes in following your passion?

Ans: The path of modelling is studded with sacrifice where you have to be on strict diets, away from sun, healthy food, six packs abs and tons of sacrifices.

        6) So till now do you think it was really worth following your passion rather than being a professional?

Ans: The journey till now has been studded with struggle. I would like to say that it is not easy to listen to your heart and live life with it. Being a professional (CS and MBA) it is very difficult to continue with the passion. But now after 3 years of struggle I will say that: It’s really worth following your passion. You will get what you want but it will not happen overnight.

Conclusion: Finding The Element in yourself is essential to discovering what you can really do and who you really are.
